How to remove write protection on pen drives

Sometimes, while copying files from one disk to another, you may get an error showing that the disk is “write protected”. This tutorial is for handling that error.

What is Write protection?

As the term explains itself, Write protection means that the disk is protected against write operations. i.e., you can’t write on the disk. You are only allowed to read and copy data from that disk, but unable to write or delete any content of that disk.

Why this happens to USB drives?

This can happen because of any one of these two reasons.
1. Virus attack. Viruses sometimes change the access to be write protected, which may lead to this problem.
2. Enabling the Lock switch. Some USB device has a lock switch. If you lock that using the switch, then it will make the access restricted from write.

here is the solution to remove write protection in pendrive due to virus. please do the following steps

1. Press Windows + R to open the Run Window an then type regedit and press Enter to open the
Registry Editor.

 HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\Currentcontrolset\control\storatedevicepolicies

in right side u will be getting writeprotect option, just right click that and modify the value from 1 to 0

[If that doesn’t exist then add add a new key named StorageDevicePolicies. Now navigate to that and create a new D-WORD(32 bit)WriteProtect.]

it will work definetly ...................

thanks for your valuable feedback....        ^_^

Easiest Way of Killing The Running Windows Processes

There are several ways to kill Windows processes which stops responding. The most common way is by opening Windows Task Manager and go to Processes tab and right click on the process and select End Process. Apart from this you generally restart your computer when the program fails to respond.
You can create custom batch file to kill multiple programs in a click. Here’s how you can create one:
- Open Notepad.
- Paste the following lines in the notepad.
taskkill /im program1.exe
taskkill /im program2.exe
- Open Windows task manager by pressing “Ctrl+Shift+Esc”. Go to processes tab and go to the program name not responding.
- Replace program1.exe and program2.exe by actual name of the processes. For example I replaced program1 by Evernote andprogram2 by Skype.

- Go to File -> Save as and give the file name killprocess.bat. You can give it any name  but don’t forget to add .bat at the end of the name (for ex. anyname.bat). In the Save as type dropdown, select All files.

-Save the file anywhere on the computer. Now if your program stops responding, just doble click on the bat file to kill the process.

A black screen will appear for the short period of time which pop ups the message that termination signal sent to the processes.
That’s it. Your added programs will kill within fraction of second.

                                                                                                                               ^_^

How to detect phishing scam sites

Phishing sites/scams are designed to trick you into thinking you are at a legitimate website hoping that you will enter your login information, credit card information, or other personal information. It's difficult to detect these scams because they usually do a great job at impersonations. These phishing scams usually come in the form of an email. The email will look like it is from a legitimate source and saying something like the following:
[Subject: Paypal security department]
"Dear paypal user:
We have recently detected several attempts to log into your account from an unknown source. Please login to your Paypal account and confirm your security information."
The email will also include a company logo, as well as several other elements that a real Paypal email would look like.
The link that you think is supposed to log you into your account actually grabs your login information and stores it for the scammer to do whatever they want with.
How to determine if it's a scam / fake email:
Find the link they are trying to get you to click, without clicking on the link highlight over it, and look in the lower left hand corner of the email window. It should show a URL. If the URL does not begin with:
http://www.[domain].com
...where [domain] is the domain of company in which the email is about. So in this example, paypal is the domain - so the URL must begin with http://www.paypal.com. If it has anything else after the http://. IT IS A SCAM! Do not even click it.

Some email programs will not show the URL in the lower left of the window, so you can either take a chance and click the link, hoping that it's not linking to a virus script or play it safe and install antivirus software. Most popular antivirus programs have anti-phishing capabilities built in to detect these sites for you and warn you in advance.

Be careful when you receive any email that talks about your account or recent security issues. Also, these scams usually imitate large, popular sites such as Paypal, Ebay, some large banks, etc... If you ever fall for one of these scams, and someone gets ahold of your account information, you could have some major headaches down the road.
